How it works

  1. 1

Upload every PDF you want to search.

  2. 2

Describe what you're looking for in your own words: “late payment penalty”, “2024 results”…

  3. 3

Open each result at the exact passage and page where it appears.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from Ctrl+F?

Ctrl+F finds exact words in one document; semantic search understands synonyms and concepts across all your PDFs at once.

How many documents can I search?

Dozens at once. Without PRO the search runs in your browser; with the PRO plan they're indexed on our server with semantic embeddings (and Advanced OCR for scans) for more precise results.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Without the PRO plan, no: Semantic PDF search runs entirely in your browser and the document never leaves your device. With PRO it's processed on our server: it travels encrypted, is handled in memory and is deleted automatically after one hour. It's never used to train models.

Is it free? Are there any limits?

Yes: free, no sign-up, and no watermark on the result. Without an account or with a free account it runs in your browser, with no fixed limit on files or pages. With the PRO plan semantic search and AI answers run on our server, with files up to 100 MB. With the PRO plan, scanned PDFs automatically go through Advanced AI OCR (Google Cloud Vision), which reads handwriting and complex scans.
