Frequently asked questions
Why isn't a black box enough?
A box on top leaves the text underneath: it can still be copied or searched. Here redacted pages are rebuilt without that text, so there's nothing to recover.
What data is detected automatically?
Emails, phone numbers, Spanish DNI/NIE IDs, IBANs, card numbers, IP addresses and dates. Always review the selection before downloading.
Is it safe to upload my files?
Yes. For Redact PDF, your files travel encrypted (HTTPS), are virus-scanned, processed in memory and deleted automatically after one hour. They're never used to train models.
Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes: free, no sign-up, and no watermark on the result. Without signing up, each file can be up to 50 MB (up to 20 files per task); signing in for free or with PRO raises it to 100 MB, and the PRO plan expands request limits and unlocks AI tools.
