Can any damaged PDF be recovered?
Most PDFs with broken structure, truncated downloads or save errors can be recovered. If the file is nearly empty or encrypted, there is nothing left to rescue.
Does the text stay selectable?
Whenever possible, yes. Only when a page is too damaged is it recovered as an image, and we tell you so you can run OCR on it afterwards.
Is it safe to upload my files?
Yes. For Repair PDF, your files travel encrypted (HTTPS), are virus-scanned, processed in memory and deleted automatically after one hour. They're never used to train models.
Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes: free, no sign-up, and no watermark on the result. Without signing up, each file can be up to 50 MB (up to 20 files per task); signing in for free or with PRO raises it to 100 MB, and the PRO plan expands request limits and unlocks AI tools.
